    Herbs are plants with savory or aromatic properties that are used for flavoring food, in medicine, or as fragrances


Herbs and Spices come from different plants. HERB is the green, leafy parts the plant while SPICE are dried aromatic vegetable substance gotten from seed, fruit, root and bark.

Both Herbs & Spices are used to flavour and season food.

Herbs can be used fresh or dried while Spices are used in dried form.

Examples of Herbs: Basil, Chives, Curry leaves, Fenugreek, Mint, Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme, Cilantro.

Spices: Coriander, Fennel Seeds, Turmeric, Black pepper, Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamom seed, Bay leaves, Celery seed, Cloves
